Virgin’s Walk
At its best in late spring and early summer, this shady border shows what a wide range of plants you can grow in less sunny areas of the garden.
It’s also a cool place to escape to on those very hot summer days.
Plants to note include the Judas Tree – Cercis siliquastrum, Hydrangea villosa, Astrantia major ‘Claret’, Heuchera ‘Palace Purple’, Lunaria rediviva, ferns such as Dryopteris cristata ‘The King’ and hostas.
At the end of the walk is a serene sculpture by Nathan David.
