A well-known English heritage apple. Its fruit is yellow-gold with orange flush and a few broad, broken red stripes. Flesh is creamy white, somewhat coarse and a little dry. Nutty, aromatic flavour and a sweet crumbly texture. When baked it keeps its shape and flavour. Keeps very well into the New Year. Pollination group B Triploid. Rootstock M9.
