Healing Light – The Choral Music of Karl Jenkins
vOx is Oxford’s leading chamber choir. Under the brilliant leadership of conductor, David Crown, vOx have forged a reputation for excellence in repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary choral works. Performing in the Amphitheatre at Waterperry they will be performing the inspirational choral music of Karl Jenkins.
Jenkins is one of the most popular living classical composers. His movie scores and hits such as Adiemus have brought his work to millions who might otherwise never listen to classical repertoire. Besides the tunes made famous on small and silver screen, Jenkins’ music has a vast depth of emotional and spiritual expression. vOx perform motets from a range of his works including Adiemus, The Peacemakers, and the ever-popular The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.
