A small but dramatic, often multi-stemmed tree. In spring pinky-purple flowers appear on the bare stems. The glorious heart-shaped leaves emerge a glossy, vibrant ruby red and darken to a rich purple-plum in summer, before turning striking shades of orange, red, yellow and purple. Full sun and well-drained soil. Height & spread in 10 years 3m.
